The 15th Edition of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2009, the most established multy faculty fair in India for diagnostics and medical equipment has concluded successfully at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Jointly organised by Messe Dusseldorf GmbH and its Indian Subsidiary Messe Dusseldorf India Pvt. Ltd.

 

The Event was held from 27 to 29 March 2009 and featured 185 exhibitors from 17 countries with official group participation from Germany, China, Taiwan, USA, Korea, Belgium and Malaysia. Apart from the Indian participation, there was international presence from Australia, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Poland, Singapore and Slovenia.

MEDICAL FAIR has confirmed its leading position as the number one fair in the medical community. With 5227 registered trade visitors, the three-day event and the accompanying two-day conference attracted even more visitors than in the previous year. Some 15% of visitors travelled from abroad. The 185 exhibitors who participated at MEDICAL FAIR INDIA presented a complete spectrum of new products, services and processes for use in doctors’ surgeries and hospitals. In addition to those areas which traditionally generate strong interest (such as medical device technology and electrical medicine), physiotherapeutic processes and medical IT in particular were met with increasing demand.

MEDICAL FAIR INDIA, the 15th Edition, also lived up to its reputation of being India’s foremost event for decision-makers. Almost 90% of trade visitors who attended are involved in relevant investment decisions, at least in a consultative capacity, while 70% are decision-makers or have co-decision rights. In line with these many interviews of the exhibitors reported that the visitor's displayed a high propensity to invest overall.

MEDICAL FAIR INDIA is characterised by its clear-cut business-to-business profile. Organised as a trade fair for professionals by professionals, the event is geared to the needs of the healthcare target groups. Visitors included traders, businessmen and doctors from all specialised disciplines, decision-makers from clinics and hospital administrations, heads of rehabilitation and healthcare centres, members of the medical technology trade as well as qualified medical personnel.

A two-day conference was organised in parallel by Messe Duesseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. in association with the Comnet Conference on – Indian Healthcare Industry - The Way Forward.

5,227 tade visitors from all over India and Countries of Nepal, Bangladesh, Europe, Asian, Africa, Middle East and USA attended the three day exhibition and conference.
