Jay
Narayan Vyas, a post graduate in Civil Engineering
from IIT, Mumbai also holds post graduate
qualifications in Marketing Management and a degree in
law.
A noted
water management expert Shri Vyas has a unique
distinction of being invited to prestigious Club of
Tokyo by Japan Foundation. He also was one of the
three recipients of International Commission on Large
Dams Award 2003 for his contribution. |
In his
public life, he has served the Government of Gujarat in
various ministerial capacities and also as Chairman of
premier state PSU like - Sardar Sarovar Narmada
Nigam Ltd.
Hon. Shri
Jaynarayan Vyas has had a long and effective contribution
as a bureaucrat in the State's Industry Development
followed by a political career spanning more than 20
years. Currently, a Cabinet Minister holding various
portfolios including Health & Family Welfare, Religious
Places and Tourism Development as well as Departments of
NGOs and Non-Resident Gujarati.
He has
written a number of books and articles on the subjects
ranging from Industrial Policy and Procedures, NRI
Investments, Foreign Collaborations, Share Markets,
Finance, Import-Export Policies, Small Scale Industries
etc.
He is
widely travelled with visits to more than 25 countries
including USA, Europe, Asia and many other parts of the
world during his professional and political career of
about 40 years. |
