We also welcome learned speakers and participants from almost all parts of our country : Trivandrum, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Udaipur etc. We also have amongst us a large number of academic institutions , faculty members and students to remind not only to continue the process of learning while we march ahead in our growth , but also that the future of our industry will be in their hands. I welcome and thank them all.

We are delighted with the presence of almost all the contributors responsible for the remarkable growth of the "Indian Medical Devices, Diagnostics as well as Pharmaceuticals Industry. It includes not only manufacturers of finished products but also suppliers of materials, machineries, technology and service providers as well as the honorable end users i.e. Doctors and Healthcare Service providers.

I would like to mention here that our industry is very fortunate to have most noble professionals and contributors to the human welfare , i.e. Doctors and Hospitals as our customers. And that makes most important and necessary for us to adopt the same attitude and approach in our business as providers of products and services for the healthcare industry.

The importance and growth potential for the healthcare industry will be discussed at length by learned eminent speakers during this two day event. I warmly invite you to enjoy and benefit from this "Annual celebration of Knowledge Sharing, Brain Storming and Networking".

We highly value the knowledge and technology available with each and every company and individual present to-day. On our part , while we were worried because of non-availability of any technology with us , we felt extremely happy when we learned from somewhere that, "Technology Which Connects Is Successful Technology".

And very humbly , I beg to tell you that we try to practice the technology of connecting you , the knowledge providers , services and products providers , and end users of this sunrise industry. We also practice the technology of connecting Indian Industry with Global markets and the Global Industry with Indian Markets.

We also feel privileged to acknowledge and share with you our feeling of appreciation and indebtedness to those eminent personalities who not only achieved but contributed immensely for the growth of Indian Medical Devices And Diagnostics Industry. I am sure , all of us will look to them as our role models.

We thank each and every company and individual for your very kind and generous co-operation and contribution by being with us to-day from near and far away distances.

Last but not the least, I thank those Companies who chose not only to participate but also share with us their Products and Services by exhibiting them in the "Technology Display Show" in the adjoining lobby. I invite all the participants to benefit by spending whatever time they get in visiting the exhibition of a wide range of products and services displayed by the companies.
