U.S. and European Companies also gain an opportunity to provide goods and services to not only Indian but to all the Asian countries. The region's large aging populations provide promising opportunities.

We are happy to announce a new series of articles on the subject, "Medical Device Manufacturing: Understanding Important Issues" by Dr. G.L. Jain, M.Sc. (Chem) Ph.D. (Bio-med Engg) , I.I.T., New Delhi, an expert on CGMP. Besides 17 years' experience in academic institutions like IIT and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), he also has a very rich hands-on experience of working in the Medical Devices Industries for 9 years. He has conducted more than two dozen training courses on Quality Assurance & GMP.

In this series of technical articles, Dr. Jain will cover all aspects of Medical Device Manufacturing starting from defining medical devices to post market surveillance.
