Investing in Healthcare
- tremendous interests from national groups
HOSPIMedica THAILAND is all set
to make its debut in Bangkok, Thailand. The exhibition will be
devoted to bringing the latest medical and healthcare products
and services to the doorsteps of Thailand and the neighbouring
Indochina markets for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The exhibition
has received tremendous interests from several groups from
China, India, USA and the Indochina region who have confirmed
their participation. In addition, the following national
pavilions will also be making their presence felt:
- State of Bavaria, Germany
- State of North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany
- Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Austria
- Taiwan Medical Industry Association, Taiwan
- Thai Medical Device Suppliers’ Association, Thailand
National
pavilions from other countries such as Belgium, Finland and
Korea are also expected to confirm their participation soon.
The organizer
will be working closely with all the national pavilions and
groups to identify each country’s target groups. Once
established, the organizer will work closely with the relevant
associations and hospitals in Thailand and Indochina to arrange
business-matching sessions for the targeted visitors/buyers to
meet with the exhibitors.
The organizer has
also teamed up with PowerMingle to set up a MingleZone where
visitors are automatically matched with exhibitors that are
relevant to them and vice-versa. More details can be found at www.hospimedica-thailand.com
The healthcare
industry in Thailand has seen major transformations taking
place. The health status of the Thai people have improved
considerably and rapidly over the past 3 decades. There has been
a considerable growth of interest in the activities of providers
in the public and private healthcare sectors to further improve
the quality of healthcare, rising the standards of medical
facilities and marketing of health services effectively.
Thailand is working towards achieving the goals outlined in the
UN’s Millennium Development Goals established at the United
Nations Millennium Summit in September 2000. Three of these
goals call for specific improvements in health such as reduction
in child mortality, maternal deaths and combating the spread of
HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB. In addition, there is also a need to
have access to affordable essential drugs.
With the proactive approach of
both the public and private healthcare sectors in favour of
investing in health, HOSPIMedica THAILAND will bring
international manufacturers and suppliers of medical, healthcare
and rehabilitative services closer to Thailand and neighbouring
Indochina to meet the growing demands for the latest medical
products and technology.
